I think I liked it. Probably more to come, but first impressions:
Fascinating take on the more nihilistic adaptation. This was more hopeful and oriented toward restoring humanity, not just to Mickey, but to the “creepers” and all the colonists. Ending with destroying the reprinter was beautiful. I think I wished there was more humanity shown by the actual humans though. The source material never really offered that, but maybe that was the point. Idk. Still working through my thoughts.…

really bad.
toward the beginning, i noticed weird editing. apparent clean up of bad dialogue and it hurt. every single scene felt the same. same ol coverage. super bland. i hoped it would get better and progress, but it got worse with terrible pop music placed terribly all throughout the movie. the movie ended with a random Tracy Chapman track. not to mention there was ridiculous exposition. like, BAD writing. just sloppy.
