  Ok, FOR REAL, you might not believe me, but I HAD NEVER SEEN THIS. Just watched on the airplane (sorry, Chris) and I’m not going to lie, this was phenomenal. There was an emotional core to this one (specifically with Matthew, Jessica Chastain, and the little kid) that was truly profound (and, to be honest, l often find missing in Nolan’s work). I’m sitting next to my 12 and 9 year old girls as we fly and man this one…

  Made sure I saw this in an Atmos theater and damn, it did not disappoint. Technique, scale, sound, image, construction.

  I'm definitely seeing the pushback on twitter, which, if I'm honest, is a bummer. It could have almost certainly been (anticipated) solved with a handful of different casting choices and some "East / West" clarity in the initial set up. That's plot clunk, not politics, however imho, and it didn't end up feeling discordant the further on the film went.…
