Anatomy of a Fall 2023
I’m not gagging.
This was ok. Sandra Hüller is remarkable but the entire thing is plagued by dubious creative decisions. I think the setting is interesting but there are too many elements that feel either very banal or very corny.
So here’s a list of things I found annoying:

- what are you really trying to say here? Like why do we care?

Barbie 2023
It was ok. My fav part of this was Ryan Gosling. I wish Gerwig and Baumbach would’ve taken a step back and worked the script from a more objective perspective. There’s too much rambling and too much going around the same comedic points and the same contemporary politics. Smothered by the need to reveal philosophical meaningfulness, relevancy and moral superiority, the storytelling becomes a tedious chore at times, being too narrow for whatever fun it’s supposed to happen to truly happen.…
