    De Palma is a master of building the suspense and it’s no different here. That baby scene in the train station had me gripping my teeth! 

    The cast is fantastic and Sean Connery steals the show anytime he’s on screen. Not a favorite or anything but a damn good time.

    Maybe it’s the nostalgia talking but this movie is just so much damn fun and gives me such excitement.

    The spectacle and JJ’s directing is stellar, as are the performances from everyone in the cast. He really reinvented the franchise in a more grounded and relatable way. These films are not without their flaws though 100%. The script is very exposition heavy and I’m sorry but the Spock/Uhura romance does nothing for me and they have 0 chemistry.
