I think this concept had real potential, but it suffers in its pacing and leaning on tropes, especially with its villain. It also felt very inconsequential , not using the opportunity to lean into either side of the effect of fame (outside of tv appearances and social media) or the frenzy of bad attention within true crime. It just doesn’t make much sense for the protagonist to be friends with cops by the end. Overall, a childish idea of success but maybe I’m not the target audience.

Left with a sick feeling after this. The way it engages with race and gender is obviously careless and the constant misogyny is hard to look past for what's good about this film. I hoped it was a fun B-movie, was disappointed and left creeped out.
