    Novocaine

    This was a pretty good time!

    They made great use of the premise with lots of variety to the pain Nate is subjected to, offering both funny and cringeworthy moments (I looked away and tensed up quite a few times).

    The supporting cast even gets their respective moments to shine, and I'm glad they gave Sherry some agency towards the end instead of just locking her into the damsel in distress archetype.

    Well worth the watch for this quirky action comedy!

    Mickey 17

    There's a ton to love in Mickey 17, almost too much for its own good.

    The cast of characters is excellent and Pattinson gives a multifaceted performance through the various versions of Mickey Barnes we encounter throughout the story.

    The creativity on display in the photography, production design and visual effects is enough to marvel at alone, and Bong Joon Ho takes you on a space faring adventure that stands strong on its own.

    Everything I could have asked for out of this movie!

    Barbie is hilarious, witty and uses its meta commentary to help reinforce a positive message for girls and women but also has an endearing take on just what it means to be human that anyone can sympathize with.

    Robbie and Gosling absolutely brought it and I can't wait to see the live performance of "I'm Just Ken" at this year's Academy Awards.

    Now if you'll excuse me I'm just gonna pop into this library and see if I can find any good books on trucks🕺🏼

    The Monkey

    The Monkey is a horror comedy that earns it's place in both genres it resides in, showcasing some gnarly kills and providing a handful of laugh-out-loud moments.

    This is a pretty significant departure from writer/director Osgood Perkins' usual style, but it is a welcome one. I'm glad to see he isn't just a one-trick pony, demonstrating skill outside of his typical slow burn thought-provoking arthouse horror aesthetic.
