  “Do you love the church?”
  “Not today.”

  It doesn’t really matter to me what this really means or what it’s all really about. I’ll take it as it is; some kind of slasher Joan of Arc, Timothy Leary’s Last Temptation. Delightfully inexplicable, excruciatingly meaningful.

  At one point Jacob says to Edward, while locking eyes in a tent, “Let’s face it, I’m hotter than you.” And that is simply spectacular.
