sci fi very loosely following Douglas Adams hitchhikers guide to the galaxy aboard the "B Ark" from the planet of the Golgafrinchans populated by useless people like hairdressers and Telephone Sanitisers.. but in this case they were Gingerbread makers and people who can fix toilets as well as a failed politician/ cultist Kenneth Marshall and a huge contingent of his followers/Devotees.
from here the film takes its weird journey . but u,\\ltimately fails to deliver anything substantial..

Reminded me of the soft porn (Suspira 1977) overly stylised. except this had a "illegal art trafficking/ sadism bent.
Still annoying that people who carry guns don't count their bullets..ie know how many in the magazine.
Was nice to see an artillery Luger with stock in a few scenes. iconic look..rare with stock and holster
Overall a mildly interesting movie.. curiously named Carrie, with character Carrie played by a "Carrie" and of course reminded me of "Carrie" 1976.
    Intentional???

very human look at adapting to your life choices. And struggling when your life long friends follow their life choices that no longer involve you.
That amateur actors interpreted the "story" as they chose, added a solid ground to the film. The final scenes allowed us to see ourselves. Very innovative conclusion

it looks a bit dated.. BUT the story is timeless.. "hero with a thousand faces" the action sequences are real ( well within the bounds of the story..ok some not real) But its a well built movie with solid training techniques even if a little unfamiliar to western eyes and sensibilities. but thats what cultural diversity is ...isnt it?
