I enjoyed it and was pulled in yet simultaneously must have missed something despite having watched the whole thing.
On second glance this movie was better than I initially thought. Some really solid scenes good acting and tight dialogue. I still think I missed something important somehow but it was still very enjoyable
Solid fun, laughed or reacted out loud often. Love Jack Quaid probably top five actor for me by amount of roles I like. Some really solid commitments and explorations of the “power” Nathan has. Satisfying deaths in ways I haven’t seen before. Would have liked a little more punch at some times and a little less slomo but I definitely was once again the target audience for this type of film
Ayo is so good in everything she does.
I think my rating benefits from not having seen most of this movies comparables, so it’s able to feel fresh because it was for me
Probably the most “horror” horror movie I’ve ever seen in theaters (heretic would be the other one but I think this was probably “scarier”. I’m growing fond of the genre, even tho it’s still more thriller that I like than horror.
I like the revelation at the end of the movie but I feel like it could have packed some more punch, idk how though.
Half star for the audience being super into it, but it’s just so cool to see classic cartoon jokes + style translated to a modern audience. Some of the jokes were definitely targeted a bit older than me, but it was still really funny and endearing.
Also if I had a nickel for every time 2 protagonists (one being pink) in an animated movie cry to themselves about being losers and failing and their tears save them from certain doom, I would have two (shoutout SpongeBob movie)
