Wrote an analysis on this film a while back and wanted to put it on here
Midnight Cowboy explores the struggle of people finding their purpose and meaning in a harsh world and perfectly encapsulates human life, emotions, and the concept of dreaming. John Schlesinger’s directing style makes the film feel very realistic and almost nostalgic almost as if it were a memory from your past.
