  As someone who was deeply Catholic until well into his adolescence and has spent the rest of his life thinking what a waste of time that was, this feels like vindication. The ending might be a bit too implausible and idealistic, but I'm more than willing to take it as just the right amount of well needed optimism. Also, black, red and white had never looked so cool since The White Stripes.

  A vibe. Considering it a mere fable is a disservice to this sort of slow, tender meditation. At times this felt like the least anthropomorphic thing possible, a lighter world.

  I'd say pornomiseria strikes back, but it probably never left. There was a moment I thought the movie was going to change its tone to play with the idea of tragedy becoming ridiculous at a certain point, but it just kept throwing more misery into the screen. And I guess that was the point, but what for? Anyways, sound mixing was horrible, direction has its good moments, cool cinematography for this budget.
