Long Legs feels like the movie Se7en set in the world of the TV show Medium. Although it clearly takes inspiration from other visual media, this movie is a thriller that will make your skin crawl and be an engaging watch. This movie's storytelling not only shines through its writing, but also especially through its visual storytelling and camerawork. Nicolas Cage shines in this movie and horror is a rather fitting genre for an actor who is criticized for screaming…

"We gotta let Olive be Olive"

Before a single line of dialogue this movie had me tearing up in the opening credits. This family is so messy but so real. This movie is an exemplar for how to write a film well. We live in a world where pressures of looks and success are placed on us at a young age. The true success of life though is when we put ourselves out there unafraid to be ourselves.

Is this movie a bit derivative from The Lost City and from what Matthew Vaughn has done in other movies? Absolutely. Is it a fun execution? Absolutely. I probably watched this movie in the best circumstances: as a date night movie on a night where we were wanting to watch something light and fun. ★★★★★

One of the best movies that I have seen in a long time. Conclave is an honest and soul-stirring tale of the search for certainty and direction in the midst of turmoil and human imperfection. Conclave brings a sense of existentialism, wonder, and mystery through its well-written dialogue and stellar performances. Despite being a movie set in the midst of a Catholic faith setting, the themes of power, succession, doubt, and differences of ideology are things that relatable to all people of all faith traditions because these are ultimately universal human struggles.

I walked out of the theater and drove home in a speechless state of utter shock. This movie is by far one of the best movies this year. Do not look anything up about it. This needs to be seen in a full theater with absolutely no context whatsoever.

As someone born and raised in Texas, I was pleasantly surprised about how Vengeance is such an intelligent movie that rather accurately portrays Texas and all the nuance that the Lone Star State holds. There are a lot of subplots and directions within this movie; however, what ultimately ties the bow to this beautiful gift of cinema is the common theme of how we often assume that we know people before we dig deeper and find out who they truly…
