  I don’t know what the point of the movie is. Like what is the overall grand message?

  Like they tried to say something without really taking the guts to say it. I guess some may argue the “artistry is never seeing the horrors but listening and seeing the chimneys along with final montage” Which I realize that but I just think it is just there for shock value and to wrap the story.

  The final montage is an absolution from any moral obligation through the use of form and not the story. At the end it feels disingenuous and weak storytelling.

  I don’t know any other director who is tackling modern situations and real world 2023 drama into their scripts like Kristoffer. He is able to criticize our current system of social codes through an unapologetic comedy. Absolutely my favorite film from him so far, the script is next level. Nic Cage rocks in this, he is given wings to do his thing and thankfully the edit does not turn into a cage fest.

  The playfulness of editing in and out of dream spaces creates a late film sensation you no longer know what is reality from dream and it is so effective for the narrative.
