I had fun with this, but it’s admittedly messy. The premise is great but it just feels like it’s missing something to take it over the edge. While a lot of jokes land - especially everything from Anthony Carrigan - but an equal amount fall flat. Add in an unconvincing subplot with the two leads, paper thin characters, and middling, rubbery CGI and it just ends up as an ok film.
Minor Spoiler:
What is up with the random time of day switch at the end of the movie? It just magically ends up being day out of NOWHERE.
