Evil Dead Rise 2023
This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.
I got to see this early access so it gets a little higher of a rating. It’s just as gory as 2013 and the cheese grater takes the cake for torturing a protagonist. The callbacks throughout the film are awesome; from Bruce Campbell shouting burn the book from the record player to the Deadites chanting “Dead by Dawn” as the elevator goes down. It’s bloody, it’s intense, and most importantly it’s about family. This is actually a family film.
