  Very meta satire that does what Wright's character is advocating for; creating a "black" story that isn't a caricature, with great characters that have depth. Would have loved a more narrowed focus and more Issa Rae, especially at the end after their first (and only) confrontation where they try to wrap everything in a tidy bow AND leave it ambiguous. You can't have your cake and eat it.
