  I rewatched Blade Runner as part of a Science in Literature course after reading "Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?". A second viewing with a group discussion and greater understanding of the film's ideas and themes gave me a greater appreciation of the film, though I still think it does suffer in some areas covered in my original review.

  I was held hostage and forced to watch this movie. There were some funny bits, but the elephants still haunt my dreams after all these years...

  I respect the film's worldbuilding and the themes behind it that continue to provide an important reflection into our own world. Its visuals clearly were and still are very influential on other filmmakers and artists that have created many pieces of beloved media. However, the plot moved rather slowly and most of the characters had little substance, making it hard to relate with them, the antagonists especially. I can appreciate the film as an artistic piece, but watching it was a little disappointing and not the experience I expected it to be.
