saw the newly regraded b&w version! makikita mo talaga kung gaano ka nuanced yung mga facial expressions ng mga character… got goosebumps during the eclipse scene when the shadows slowly embraced the frame and you only see elsa’s eyes glistening…

sobrang fave ko na talaga ang film na to lalo na nalaman ko yung filmmaking process into making this masterpiece. i can talk about this all day and you will never hear the end of it!

also nakakatawa yung side comments ni lola sa harap namin haha it’s a whole different experience indeed

nakakakilig pa rin the second time around! i still stand by my stance na medj hindi nagwork for me yung upbringing/familial issues kahit gets na gets why they added that another layer.

so many notes na natutunan from ricky lee. isa talaga siya hiyas ng pilipinas! like insane…

also napagusapan din na last minute na add lang yung famous kaibigan mo lang ako scene and it turned out to be the most well-recognized scene from the movie. nakakaexcite lang manexperience yung filmmaking process haha

“There is something about the kitchen that invites intimacy. I suppose kitchens are a space for intimacy because I will touch with my hands the things that will go in your mouth; I will taste what you taste; I will work for you, or you will work for me. I will make this for you because I love you, because you need it, because you want it.” - Ella Risbridger, In the Kitchen: Essays on Food and Life

    nothing intelligent to…

atrocious prison conditions, rehabilitation over punishment approach to pdls, sign language usage awareness, the immemorial question of whether are people born good or evil…yep yep yep [nods head]

this is my third zig dulay film and they really do have a knack for developing its setting so richly that they come close to having the power of becoming a character itself
