Heretic punya potensi jadi horor ‘mikir’ yang gak kacangan. But something about it makes it so bland and uninteresting. Third act nya gak ngena. Juga terlalu lama, diulur ulur sampe tensionnya nggak ke build up. Hugh Grant juga kurang mysteriously creepy, if anything he looked like pervy old guy who lives down the street. American Eid 2021
Although packed with all things Disney (and its awkwardness) American Eid’s tenderness keeps me seating down the whole 20 minutes and leave me with lots of gratitude. It’s never easy living as a minority with culture shocks & “community” complex. In a foreign land, sometimes you’re never expected to be just a little girl who’s trying their best to fit in, you’re expected to be okay with abrupt changes, rejection & alienating. And let’s face the fact that people (a lot of them are adults) never get adjusted to it, especially with the stream of xenophobia & hate crimes against minorities (yes i know i digress but oh well)
