  It was pretty good but I wish less of the film had been cutting back and forth between a slow lingering shot of cillian murphy with a single tear rolling down his cheek and his traumatic childhood

  This and 'The Ones Who Walk Away from Omelas' by Ursula K. Le Guin are great companion pieces for each other

  This whole film, but especially those first two possessions were just fantastic

  Loved the Lovecraftian bent of much of this film, ancient rituals dedicated to summoning that which is dark and ancient and unknowable, formless yet with form, and those gore effects are just crazy good

  Half a star off because of tree rape scene 🤨, although its never quite shown the extent of what it is thats happening
