  Even though clearly everything was fully planned and deliberate it feels like the complete opposite. Lots of storylines that just kinda happen and it really does just seem like a couple pretty intense days in a normal (as much as it can be for an expendable) dudes life. It was busy but that’s exactly what Mickey’s life is it’s busy and messy and volatile. Super neat way to frame a movie.

  First of all a pope hopeful hitting the vape while voting is insane. Second of all holy shit this movie is awesome, suspenseful the whole way through, manages to make the viewer feel how slow and tedious this process is while only being 2 hours and an unbelievable ending. Third of all Adrien Brody winning best actor ahead of Fiennes is more and more of a moronically stupid decision than I even thought before watching this movie.

  Holy shit what a movie. The way that everything is explained going in is huge accessibility wise and means that anyone can watch it and know what the hell is going on. The way this true story of literal disastrous consequences is presented is perfect and really emphasizes the gravity of what these people were doing and how bad the situation kept on getting.
