This is a very familiar sort of movie. A variation on a crime drama or law drama that we've seen a dozen times or more. But, it's just done so dang competently and confidently. Your Name. 2016
While my first viewing didn't do a whole lot for me, emotionally, this film is clearly crafted with so much care and love, it's kind of impossible not to enjoy it. It's well paced and the freaky-friday aspect of it is a great example of an overwrought trope being well done. Some of the romance parts I found a bit overdone, but that might change with future viewings. The animation and art style are both beautifully rendered; this is a world you want to live in.
