    at its best when the film deals with grief and parenting (enjoyed the through line of him counting to calm himself down and when he cares for the little boy in the community center) instead of spotlighting the murder and its goriness (shots of chickens, knives, and blood), alternating between the past and the present works but should be executed more cleanly and precisely, i am more skeptical on dividing the film into chapters for each family member, interesting how 破。地獄 and 爸爸, as a double feature, touch on parenting of two generations in hong kong
