I enjoyed this one, but it wasn’t laugh out loud funny like I thought it was going to be based on the trailer. The theater going experience felt oddly quiet, even though I laughed a few times to myself.
It felt evenly paced the entire time, and I wonder if that had to do with the continuous voiceover..
I enjoyed Robert Pattinson’s performance a lot.
Mark Ruffalo was great at playing a self-absorbed “president” that was obviously a caricature…

The Creator 2023
It was a visually beautiful movie. I enjoyed it. I teared up at the end, damn you Alphie pulling at my heart. And Hans Zimmer really did his thing in this one! The VFX was incredible, loved how visually expansive the world was. The story was derivative so it’s a solid, okay film for me. Similar to other films about AI/Robots being created then humans deciding they don’t want them anymore so it becomes a war against the machines. Or it’s another species in general and trying to get rid of them because humans see them as a threat. (I, Robot, Avatar, Terminator, etc).
