  All the characters aren’t real, they are screenwriting devices to serve a larger analogy so the film doesn’t really wrap up in an emotionally impactful way at all. That being said the analogy is so comprehensive and poignant that I kinda don’t care that the movie fails as a movie because it succeeds so well at social commentary. 
  It’s crazy how relevant it still is with AI, Elon Musk, brain rot. When people don’t know how to address a problem in society that the powerful put down upon us they just learn to live with it. That seems to always be true.
