I have to say that I actually really enjoyed as a caveat to the 2.5 popcorn rating. It is entirely too long with no cohesive control over pacing, but the misunderstood Arthurian ideals mixed with anti-authoritarian/anti-corporate somehow ended up like pineapple and ham on pizza - an unexpectedly pleasant fantastical combination that fools disregard while pursuing some aberrant ideal of "what a thing should be". A truly funny 90's horror gem that has spawned a series of sequels still being made... There are some legit chilling moments but mostly it's laughs and bad/good (scene-by-scene) practical in use here.
Nostalgia for "I just like guns and freedom" conspiratorial conservatism a la Dale Gribble plays out in fantastic fashion with Reba and Michael Gross (still starring in the sequels) and remains a must see scene of destructive mayhem that has been burned into my mind from youth - this movie still holds up.
I'm curious if the sequels do, "Assblasters? In the Arctic?"
