Drive is one of the best movies I’ve ever seen. Period. Ryan Gosling is phenomenal. Perfect leading man for this story. Alongside Gosling, the rest of the cast does their part bringing their own personality to the table. Oscar Issac, Bryan Cranston and Albert Brooks were stellar. In addition to all of them, Carey Mulligan was lovely. She’s gorgeous. Would love to see more of her in films.

It’s excellently written, the pacing is just right. Learning who the characters…

I don’t know about this one. This would have been a solid, low budget found footage flick had it not been for the Nate character. He’s such a pussy. So unlikeable. So much that it distracts from anything else that’s happening. You just want to slap him and shut him up. Or kick him out of the car so you and Sam can rescue the little girl.

It’s a decent indie thriller if you can look past Nate. I’d say it’s worth a watch if you’re tired of scrolling through Netflix or whatever provider you have and just want to pick something.

Wow. This film was beautiful. A visual masterpiece. Filmed with old school camera equipment making it a 1:1 frame was a really cool look. Made it possible to pull off some impressive symmetrical and geometric shots. It’s movies shot like this one that I wish Stanley Kubrick was still around to see and comment on.

Willem Dafoe is fantastic. I had no problems believing he was a seasoned Lighthouse keeper. None at all. Robert Pattinson is a great counterpart to…

There was a lot of buzz around this movie and I can see why. Story wise, I wasn’t super into it. However, from a movie making perspective I was very impressed. They did some really cool tricks with the sound and visually looked good. A casual movie watcher wouldn’t find much value in this one, but people who are into what makes up a movie will get a lot of enjoyment here.
