  one of the most impactful films i've seen in a long time and captures such thoughtful moments of girlhood / adolescence. really struck by the notion of wanting something so badly you'd do anything for it, even put yourself in a dangerous situation. absolutely loved the pov camcorder shots. more of that pls

  rewatched in 35mm - all the pops of red were so much more impactful on the second watch. also loved the little moment when igor informs ani that her name does have a meaning godddd i love this movie

  surprised to say i found the harsh backlighting and dull color grading to be rather charming overall. it felt like a dream. plus it made elphaba's moments feel much more striking and powerful to me. happy to see the film stand out in that way- i can't say i've seen people go this up in arms over color palette, ever. not many critiques tbh, loved it all. i did unexpectedly cry a lot lol
