Pretty boring film. I already figured out how it would end pretty early on. It did not help that the description spoiled the reveal. This movie brings nothing new. The characters feel like archetypes more than people, but a couple of the actors try to give them some interest despite that.

A cute movie overall! However, there are many big problems with both story and visuals.
The beginning half is more of a slice-of-life, in which the film struggles to introduce it's vast set of characters and give them enough screen time to build a proper connection with both the other characters and audience. I must admit I was a little bored in several parts throughout the film...

Did the director read the title? The knight wasn't even green!
I had read the poem by Simon Armitage, who had translated the work from the original Middle English version as closely as possible. In my opinion, this film does not do the work justice; the beautiful language used to visualize characters, actions & scenes in the poem does not come across. The post-production team slapped on some filters and called it a day.
