If you try very hard to find depth in this movie you are going to find it, but it's not because the movie has shown it, it just expects you to extract depth from a shallow presenting. It's a constant edging of depth in a movie with a totally mundane and purposeless plot that goes on forever. There is no justification for this movie being two hours and a half long. The ending is straight up misogynistic, some sort of pathetic, antiquated male fantasy.

The movie is incredibly disjointed, zero nuance in the plot, it tries to push some bastardized version of class consciousness wrapped in reactionary, vengeful resentment. It's as if Breen read Genealogy of Morality and decided to do the exact opposite, pure slave morality, christian guilt accelerationism. Classic fantasy of being the strong man who cleanses all wickedness of mankind through mass murder, but the strong man is Roko's basilisk.
