I think it's really interesting that the POV cinematography is what's splitting the room on this movie. Some find it alienating and overbearingly "artsy" or "film school" (when people say this, I usually wish they'd dig a little deeper to find more descriptive words), and others find it immersive and engrossingly true to life. ill write more later but yeah. there was a me before watching this movie and a me after. Necessary viewing for any "transplant", "city person", "runaway", and/or gentrifier. It was for this one. Probs for everyone else too. I dont know what to do with my life besides not be an idiot with where i live and how i live in community. Easier said than done but listening to art like this is a start. Listening to yourself afterward is a pretty good followup
I cant wait for this movie to be out in the world more. Its really one of the best Ive ever seen.

this is my road trip movie.
the moments of remove: hearing the conversations distantly first to frame the people so plainly, before zooming in to a handheld shot.
