This is the first film I’ve come close to walking out on.
The first hour was just waiting for any sense of a narrative to start, and you’re stuck watching a group of the least likeable people act horribly. I’m all for movies about anti-heroes and bad people but to make one where there are no redeeming qualities or even understanding where they are coming from is insane to me. Every decision that Anora makes is frustrating and insulting.

Nicholas Galitzine could have steamy chemistry with a bowl of uncooked porridge. It’s a shame that Anne Hathaway’s Solene is flat, one note, and cold, she’s hooking up with a heartthrob and she is showing about as much passion as someone doing their tax return.
