I didn’t buy Vince Vaughn as a teenager as much as I when I saw Jack Black do it in Jumanji. We’ve all seen this trope before, complete with a bathroom scene where the teenage girl switched into a man “doesn’t know how to operate their newfangled penis”.
Otherwise, it was entertaining, and I did get a few chuckles when Millie (in the Blissfield’s Butcher’s body) would walk around with that Aaron Rodgers mask on. That was pretty funny!
This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.
I shed a tear when Rick Flag died. I was kinda hoping Harley would bust through the door and smash in John Cena’s face for that atrocity.
But, alas, no avenge kill for stabbing that beautiful man in the heart.
Anyway, I will admit that I DID get a couple chuckles
out of this movie. Was it worth the two hours and 12 minutes I watched to get them? Absolutely not.
P.S. When that GIGANTIC starfish with one eye busted out of that skinny building, Jotunheim... I actually did a real-life SMH emote. It was in-sane. Where was that alien HIDING in there?!
I know I set myself up for disaster after watching the first movie, but I did so anyway.
First of all, who is this McG? Did he make these movies for people MY age? The 80s/90s references were off the charts. Teenagers watching this movie won’t get half the “jokes”... let’s be honest. There was like 3 or 4 references about Terminator 2. Vanilla ice...MC Hammer? The reference to the early 80s Tommy Tutones song, Jenny? You’re kidding me, McG. Seriously?…
