Watched the 16mm Super 8 version of this. Condensed down to 17 mins, scenes are entirely cut or reduced to just stick to the main narrative without lingering too much. What replaced that is the grainy, dull aesthetic of the Super 8 film that enhances the atmosphere and gives a feeling of dread albiet in a different way. It's like you're going through the video files from deep within the data of the Nostromo.
