Happy as Lazzaro 2018
Alice Rohrwacher seems to be at an unique level for modern cinema.
the setting, the people, the cinematography, the dialogue. everything is so enchanting.
true cinema. that shit that transports you to a place, that puts you in a character’s shoes, all that shit.
I cant get enough of Italian religious/mystic/spiritual/santeria stuff. i cant wait to watch La Chimera, from it’s trailer it should be more of that.
my eyes welled up when antonia and lazzaro met again.

This could’ve been so much better.
The story leaves a lot to be desired by the end.
Thinking back on it the movie feels like a great 1st episode of an amazing tv show.
