wow! that’s a filipina woman performing an exoticized thai sex tourism act as the only asian woman in the movie with a really janky fast plot
...i guess that was fine? we don’t even see the relationship develop btwn bob and bernadette! and dear god that "finally" musical number kept dragging on. perhaps i'm quick to compare it to "to wong foo" but i did like that one a lot more.

friend suggests i recount the ambiance of the preceding mini rave and house party and going to a friends house and watching this at basically midnight and falling asleep in 10-minute increments. i will not lie, the experience of watching was soft and nice but even now looking back through the drowsy haze i wasn't that into it. i also forgot how weird the 2000s were about weight

Mad God 2021
in the middle of this movie i tried to describe it as "what if mad max fury road was in the most visceral wet stop motion and also the circles of hell/different torture" and i think that was mostly right except for fact that there is no return because the world cannot be changed and something else must be created.
i do not know how to rate a movie that made me Feel Things but that i don't think i enjoyed. i'll rate it high because i will be thinking about this in the future. also just a masterclass in stop motion
