I watched this movie on Good Friday and I have been thinking about it ever sense. I honestly don't know if there is a better movie to watch on Good Friday (that isn't The Passion of the Christ, I guess). I am a big fan of Malick's Tree of Life and Days of Heaven, but other than those, Malick has been a big blind spot in my Film watching journey.

This is nothing short of a masterpiece. One of the…

I was 14 years old when my Dad told me about Ferris Buellers Day off. At the time he was sharing some of his favorite movies from the 80s and 90s that he thought I would like or enjoy as a teenager. He told me it was a funny comedy and he thought I would like it. Utterly disrespectful to the original. Yes, Gal Gadot is like an all time bad actor, I get it. But nobody is good in this. It lacks all beauty, magic and wonder from the original. Feels lifeless. Also it looks gross.

Fun fact: Dopey was originally set to be the sorcerers apprentice in Fantasia (1940) but they went with Mickey Mouse instead.

Watching something so pivotal to the medium of animation is so special. Really hope they don’t make this in live action for some reason. Who would ever do that?

    3.9 average??

I get it isn't as bad as I am rating it from a technical film perspective but who cares. There's a scene near the beginning where the camp counselors are in a a dark closet with candles and they talk about some disgusting/sexual stuff involving kids.

I kept watching, wish I didn't. Hated this.

ALSO: this is not a slight at theater or theater peeps, ya'll still rock
