About 5 minutes in I could tell that this film was going to elicit some pretty visceral emotions from me and it absolutely did just that. I don’t think that a second of this was wasted, and all three of the main performances were grounded in a normality which I really enjoyed.

The obvious melancholy was lifted by what I felt was a deeper and more joyful core; that the relationships which you expect to define your life but then don’t, can still contribute to your person in a positive and meaningful way.

Beautiful, incredible, all consuming . One of my favourite experiences in a movie theatre.

I had some visceral reactions during their arguments in this. I had seen the first two movies years ago but over the last month I’ve watched the whole trilogy. They all manage to be incredibly on the nose but at the same time collectively and individually moving. In the first two their love feels inevitable, in this it feels entirely fragile. Really hanging on by a thread stuff.

A very good courtroom drama. Ricardo Darin's leading performance was terrific. Particularly enjoyed the slow burn portrayal of his progression. It doesn't rely on a grand cinematic revelation. The character grows so naturally throughout. I've read about the Junta only through a football lens, definitely inspired to look deeper.

Also, great hair in this one, curly locks everywhere you turn, good stuff.
