This whole movie happened because his In Laws were mad about a lamp. I've never seen Adam Sandler cry, which was weird! Not that his acting was bad, it was refreshing to say the least. At first I liked it, then I disliked it, but after letting it sit and pondering on it a little more I think I really liked it. Such a beautiful film. It's kind of all over the place but intentionally so and I honestly had no clue where it was taking me, which is a good feeling. It didn't live up to my initial expectations but I think I really did enjoy watching it. Maybe I'll watch it again, some moments were worth it and others were like wtf but overall it had me sucked in.

Im not sure this movie really knew what it wanted to be. Was it a love story? A drama? An action western? Idk. The pacing was very choppy and all over the place, and there were large gaps in the exposition. They would either not tell you anything or spend far too long on something else. It was an okay movie at best, but Val Kilmer killed it!
