  I kind of just watched this to look at the circus and man Fellini knows how to capture the magic of circus and performing artists.
  Everyone looks majestic and cool and the stripes and face paint and tightrope I felt like I wanted to jump into the screen and jealous that I was not there with my stripes and face paint on.
  I will watch more Fellini purely for how he depicts the circus, a lot of respect and beauty…

  Best war film I’ve seen so far.
  Oliver stone being an actual veteran of the Vietnam war, and using his own personal experiences separates it so far from other Hollywood war films that focus on cinematic battle scenes and romantic depictions of war heroes. Platoons focuses on good and evil, and a humans struggle in controlling his primal desire vs his moral better judgment

  I can’t believe Willem Dafoe was robbed of the academy award. Would’ve given him one just for him getting Charlie Sheen to smoke through a rifle
