Amazing casting, strong screenwriting. It’s a certified classic. Millennial excellence. So many memes come from this movie it’s insane.

Peter has terrible opsec, which causes him no end of troubles. But hey it was 2002. Movie has a strong pre 9/11 feeling to it. Innocence or something. Lack of trauma. Was weirded out when I saw it was from 02 but looks like they did filming right before 9/11 so I was right after all. You can see the twin towers I think.

Awesome movie. The screenwriting is so tight. Every shot is establishing something.

This movie has a great Michael Mann vibe going on and has been memed thoroughly at this point. Hadn’t seen it since 2011. The action was as good as I remembered, though gorier. Ryan Gosling’s character was much more autistic than I remembered as well lol.

Another fun British crime movie I haven’t seen since high school. It’s amazing how far fitness culture has come because I remember Brad Pitt as having an amazing body in this film and now it doesn’t hit the same. I remember this one as being worse than lock stock and two smoking barrels but now I think it’s probably on the same level. The plot feels less organized and serendipitous but for entertainment value it hits just as hard.

Very fun 90s British crime movie. When I watched it in high school in the late oughts, it wasn’t dated. Now it really is. Different era. Still just as fun.
