I went into this as my most anticipated film of the fest and I'm so happy it did not disappoint. It's been a long time since I saw the original show, and I was thinking maybe it wouldn't hold up or I couldn't remember what happened and it was going to not hit in 2025. Well, this put all those fears aside. Amazing movie, amazing crowd, amazing standing ovation, amazing Q&A. How could I have ever doubted you?

I did not expect how VFX heavy this would be, I hope the effects teams were proud of what they accomplished. There's a shot of Pattinson being lifted up by a swarming mass of aliens and it kinda blew me away. As far as the story, I liked that it explored some of the logical ends of cloning especially under capitalism, but some of it was a little too referential to our current moment to stand on its own. Fun performances by Yuen, Collette, and Pattinson of course.
