The main actor was alright as a farmhand. The girl was really fucking annoying. The soundtrack sucked. It’s all the worst parts of Independence Day. Puss in Boots: The Last Wish 2022
Hot take: I don’t care for this artstyle at all. I don’t like the low-frame rate, the shading (on humans especially) looks overly-simplified, and the colors are obnoxiously vibrant. Looking at this movie after a while starts giving me a headache.
Everyone who isn’t a cat or death just flat out sucks. Horner, Goldilocks and the bears, and the dog were particularly annoying.
Plot was serviceable but nothing to write home about.
In conclusion, I think Shrek 2 was a funnier, better looking, Puss and Boots movie.
