  “Everybody here shares in the belief that being deaf is not a handicap. Not something to fix.”

  If this isn’t exactly my type of film, I don’t know what is. This is one of the best portrayals of the deaf community and its culture that I’ve seen on film and adding music and the absence of it to the storyline was beautiful. The performances are also amazing and the sound design really stands out.
