If life isn't kicking your ass, it's not doing its job.

Goodrich (2024) tells the story of Andy Goodrich and how his life is suddenly turned around when his wife surprisingly (to him) goes to rehab. Goodrich must balance looking after his twin kids, keeping his art gallery afloat and helping his pregnant eldest daughter.

This film was a brilliant surprise towards the end of the year for me, it's incredibly grounded, well-written and every character feels genuine and well-scripted.…

    Merry Christmas!

Red One is your typical CGI-filled action film but with a lovely Christmas-filled world. The plot isn't heavily complicated, at most the different references to Christmas and different cultures felt refreshing and fun.

Cast was great, visuals were ok, CGI was meh. Seasons Greetings!

A great follow up film to the Deadpool series that transitions into the MCU in a way that's only possible for Deadpool (loudly and super self-aware).

Ryan Reynolds continues to just be the only and best Deadpool and it was brilliant to see Hugh Jackman back as Wolverine.

The jokes and action were great - watched it in cinemas and everyone was laughing.

The cameos are fun, albeit quite distracting by the 5-6th one, but they do help us give a nice goodbye to the Fox Marvel universe.

    Cause I'm happy...

Piece by Piece (2024) is a fun and insightful film about Pharrell Williams' life.

The Lego animation is creative and well-done, I like that the animators never messed with the scale of lego pieces compared to characters and kept all the Lego pieces as they were.

The jokes and gags were fun, the story was fairly engaging - it begins to slog a bit towards the last 30 minutes. But it was still fun to see all…
