The Twelve Chairs 1970
I didn't enjoy the movie very much when i first watched it, especially compaired to Mel Brooks' other work, though upon a rewatch the comedy is excellent as well as Mel Brooks' ability to keep a cynical tone throughout the movie.

The Human Condition II: Road to Eternity 1959
"lets watch a film about militaries and war absolutely fucking people up at midnight" said by the utterly deranged. Anyways i thoroghly enjoyed the contrast between Obara and Kanji especially in the marching scene and ther contrast between each of their relationship with their wives. It does an excelent job of looking at how the trauma of war/war time has affected Kanji. Looking forward to part 3.
