  One of the many things that I love about this movie is the way in which it celebrates the everyday in such a refreshingly uncynical manner. It's like the cinematic equivalent of David Byrne giving the world a hug and saying "you're doing alright folks". And you really feel it.

  A film that just oozes cool.

  The title sequence? Cool.
  That iconic music? Cool.
  Sean Connery as Bond? Cool.
  The cinematography? Cool.
  The beautiful locations? Cool.
  Ken Adam's production design? Cool.

  Yes, it does contain some dated elements that are rather uncool, but on the whole? This film is very cool.

  First David Lynch I've seen. I'm not quite sure what I expected, but I certainly didn't think 15 minutes of Lynch interrogating a monkey would be this entertaining.
