It's kind of scary how likely I can see this portrayal of humanities values and direction playing out in the future.
Robert Patterson crushes it as both Mickys, the rest of the cast, especially Mark Ruffalo shine playing very a perfect mix of grounded and eccentric characters.
The cinematography and production design are also particularly standouts making the world feel lived in, real and fantastical.

Every performance in this move is flawless but especially his. His presence dominates every scene he's in.
Also the cinematography is at its best for the series here. Some incredibly iconic shots balanced well with the comparatively mundane make for one of the most beautiful dramas to watch of the last 20 years.
Also the fact that this film came out 17 years ago at time of writing is crazy to me. It hold up a lot better than Batman Begins IMO.Translated from by
