This was a tough watch, which is a good thing for the subject matter.
Baby-faced Chris Sarandon is legitimately terrifying. And both the Hemingway girls give really good performances.
The court sequence is particularly harsh to the Hemingways, probably pretty realistically. But prosecutor Anne Bancroft fucking annihilates Sarandon’s shitty electronic music in cross examination, and that totally rules.
Went in a really unexpected direction, and I loved the Goblin-esque soundtrack.

I watched all five of the Stewart/Mann westerns this weekend.
I had to circle back to this one, my (and it seems the general consensus) favourite.
You can read far more intelligent reviews, the essay that comes with the disc is great, but I’ll point out a couple of things I loved.Pristine black and white 4K Criterion. Really makes all the difference. The other four are in a dire need of the same treatment.
