  I got in touch with Zeinabu, who wrote and directed this at UCLA (Film dept TV studio 1!) she told me that she shot it in 1988 just when the transition to digital was about to happen and the piece is inspired by her having to recuperate from a moped accident and watching afternoon soap operas with these kinds of silly commercials. Pretty neat! And now I’ve got this 80s feminist rap stuck in my head but it’s all good ⚡️⚡️⚡️
